Hey everybody. Very amateur photographer here, signed up on the board to hopefully get some help picking out a new, to me, camera of some sort and learning more in general about photography. I've been using a Konica FT-1, which is almost older than I am, but it recently gave out on me. After having it sit for a while unused, it's suddenly quit loading film, won't change shutter speeds, and the light meter no longer works (never worked while I've had it, but it didn't bother me much). It also won't do continues shots anymore, so I'm guessing there's something majorly wrong with it. So now I need a new 35mm of some sort. Not to promote the park, but if you have the chance to go to NW Trek, it is worth your trip. I believe that it is Eatonville...about 30 min. east of Tacoma. It is kind of like a wildlife preserve with a tram that runs through it. It is great to be able to photograph from and get close ups. Some animals walk right up to the tram. I know that it is kind of like cheating...but the animals are in their natural habitats. I was going to go today, but they are only open Fri - Sat - Sun during the off-season.They also do a photo tour once a month. Tram goes out with 12 people, windows removed, 2-3 hours plus they provide breakfast.I definately have to check this out. 1'm almost 15 and I've recently started homeschooling because of medical problems (equines, chronic fatigue and knee pain) and am struggling to meet people. (always been a bit socially inept). Ok, I have a website, www.kevin-mccauley.com It's basically my blog, but instead of a header is a simple Flash movie that has links and contact info. The problem is that when I click the page, the Flash part always loads long after all the pictures in the blog have started loading... Has anyone used camera armor? I can't imagine dropping my camera, but with 3 girls 1,3 and 6 yrs always trying to trip me, I can't be too careful. Any pros and cons to it? Hi all, i've recently started looking at flash, after being fairly handy with photoshop and css for a while. i've got a small problem after following one of the excellent tutorials on this site, i hope this is the correct place to post...
