  • Need to find the complete set of ASCII values (number/integers) for the roma-ji character set.

  • Sorry...I have educated myself a bit on the subject in the past couple of hours and realized more exactly what roma-ji means. My original question concerned querying a database and using the ASCII sql command to identify specifically which Japanese names had been recorded in 'roma-ji'. My understanding now though, is that "roma-ji" does not have it's own set of ASCII ISO ranges...instead, I'll just have to identify Japanese name data that's recorded in the standard roman character set.

  • Greetings, jmradle! Are you merely looking for ASCII to Roma-ji conversion tables, or are you looking for Romaji conversion tables to other forms of Japanese? Regards, aceresearcher

  • Hi, From what I have found, Roma-Ji seems to be a way of representing Japanese characters using the roman character set (a-z, etc, see http://lc.ust.hk/~sac/advice/japanese/pronunciation/JP3.htm). Would you like the ASCII values for the standard roman character set?
