  • ive lost 3 babies during pregnancy (at 19, 6 & 12 weeks) & would like an original tattoo design, no rip or crucifix etc

    the names i had chosen began wiv a so i though the letter a with wings at each side & 3 stars, 1 to repressent each of them above the a, possibly placed on my ankle or wrist so the wings could wrap round, but does anyone have any better ideas? or (if youre a tattooist) would my idea be possible? any serious insight welcome


  • I lost my baby at 12 weeks and can sympathise with you I think it is a lovely way for them to be remembered go and see a tattooist to see if your idea is possible it comes from your heart and will mean a lot more then somebody else's idea


  • Firstly my heart goes out to you.

    I think you should go with the tattoo you have mentioned above,
    To a have a tattoo it is always better to have something you have designed or picked because it is going to be there forever.
    And yes your design would be possible.


  • I am so sorry to hear of your losses. I can totally feel your pain. I too have lost a child (20 weeks) and have been debating on a memorial tattoo as well. I think that your idea is very beautiful and meaningful. I have not decided on an idea for myself, however, someone once suggested to me that I put the date in roman numerals on my wrist or ankle. You could do that with all three dates. If you are really unsure, go to a tattoo shop and tell them what you had in mind. Have them sketch something for you and then decide. I send you all my love and prayers.

  • Ummm Im so sorry to hear your loss.. I would say maybe do a cross with a a at one end or perhaps a star with an a in the middle.

  • Hi sweety pie, I think 3 angels with a ribbon around there body's with there names would be nice!! Or a pair of baby shoes with there initials on the shoe laces would be nice too. Take care and there your angels now.


  • Sorry to hear about your loss and I understand why you want to get this done. How about a fairy with the number 3 hidden in one of it's wings? If you do a google search on fairy tattoos you will get some really pretty ones to choose from. Alternatively a cluster of 3 pretty butterflies.
