  • I have twin 11 year old Daughters who LOVE the jonas brothers.They Live In Seperate rooms.One says she wants to print out posters,and put them on a poster board.Adrianna-My 11 year old Likes Nick,So she wants to put pics of him everywhere,My other one likes Joe,She wants to do the same thing.Their walls are BOTH currently blue,They want to paint it purple,Should i change their rooms?

  • nooooo they want to mess it up! let them change it, but not posters everywhere i dont know they are just chagning so let them change the room see what happens. Under somones supervision of course


  • Absolutely let them do their rooms how they want, as long it doesn't involve anything obscene, of course. This is one of the things I remember loving as I was growing up, redecorating my room every now and then. Besides, it will give them something to laugh about with their friends in 20 years when they think back about the goofy celebrity crushes they had!


  • Alyssa's room looks a bit like a baby's room, maybe because of that shade of blue. Adrianna's room is really lovely. I think the purple could be beautiful as long as you choose the right shade. Go for it!

    The posters-all-over-the-walls thing is something most kids that age want to do. It won't hurt anything, and they'll love having their rooms decorated THEIR way!

    You'll probably have to re-paint those rooms in a few years, though, so tell your girls NOW that when that day comes, they're gonna be helping you! Good Luck and have fun!


  • At first I was going to say yes. They are showing their artistic sides. But after I saw how adorable their rooms were, I wouldnt want to change them.

    But we have to realize they are 11 years old. The rooms look more for a 4-8 year old. With that, I probably would redo the rooms in a very pretty purple. It is more of a girl color than light blue.

    With your help, you could make it very cute and hip for those 11 year old twins.
