a switch that is unmanagable
Its like a network hub where you network multiple computers together, but the difference is that with a hub, the hub has its own little computer inside of it that you can dial into and "manage" some settings and things of that nature. An unmanagable switch does little more than connect the computers, without the ability to go in and change settings.
Unmanagable switches are switches that have no configuration interface or options. They are typically found in small offices or home offices.
Unmanaged switches â ” These switches have no configuration interface or options. They are "plug-and-play." They are typically the least expensive switches, found in home, SOHO, or small businesses. They can be desktop or rack mounted.
